Vehicle Donations

Donating your used car is a great way to help The ALS Association, save yourself the hassle of selling your car, and receive a charitable tax deduction!

The ALS Association accepts donations of vehicles. Our contracted processing company, Car Program LLC, will contact you to arrange for pickup of your vehicle, and will provide you with a receipt for tax purposes.

Wheelchair Accessible Vans Needed for the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge Clinic Transportation Program

Regarding the ALS Clinic at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA, The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter is faced with the challenge of meeting the needs of all Persons with ALS (PALS) interested in receiving services offered by the Clinic, especially those located in the Shreveport/Bossier city area. 

In September of 2010, a wheel chair accessible van was donated to the organization by a family who lost a loved one to Lou Gehrig’s Disease.  With the donation of this vehicle, and the grant funds donated by the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge, Inc, the chapter was able to establish the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge Clinic Transportation Program. 

With the donations of additional vans, the Chapter can expand this program to serve other areas of the state.
