For more than half a century, Community Health Charities (CHC) has represented the most well-respected health charities in our country.  These charities, of which The ALS Association is a proud member, must meet stringent criteria in order to be accepted, ensuring a cost effective partnership that enhances the ability to deliver more of every dollar donated into the hands of those who desperately need it.  Through its nationwide network of 36 affiliate offices, CHC effectively connects the American workplace to credible charities focused on addressing our nation’s most pressing health issues.

Contributing through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)

As a member of Community Health Charities (CHC), we are one of the voluntary health agencies participating in the CFC.

Federal government employees are encouraged to participate in the CFC and may designate The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter by writing the code #32099 on the Workplace Giving Form.  

Making Your Gift through the United Way

If your company is in the Greater New Orleans Area and participates in the United Way Campaign, you can still designate your contribution to The ALS Association Louisiana Chapter. All you need to do to support The ALS Association Louisiana Chapter is designate your pledge through United Way's Donor Choice Program by entering the following UWGNO Code on your pledge card:  #3639. 

For all other areas in Louisiana, if may choose to designate your funds to "Community Health Charities."  The funds designated to CHC in any United Way Campaign will be equally destributed to all CHC charity members, including The ALS Association Louisiana Chapter.

Designating Your Gift Through The CHC Private Sector Campaign

Is your company listed below? If so, you are part of the CHC's Private Sector Campaign, and you will be able to make a gift through payroll deduction. 

If the employees in your company would like the opportunity to personally select the health causes that are most important to them and to know that their charitable dollars are being spent wisely, please consider having your company participate in a Community Health Charities workplace giving program.  To access the CHC Workplace Giving Interest Form, please click here.

The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter is a Member of Community Health Charities, which is a donor-focused non-profit organization representing America’s premier health charities in employee giving campaigns nationwide.  Their purpose is to provide donors with the choice to give to the most respected and well-known health charities, such as The ALS Association. 

CHC serves as a link between the services, education, and treatments that member charities provide and the donors who support each organization’s work.  Each area’s campaign works differently.  So be sure to ask your employers how you can support The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter through Community Health Charities.

Even if your company isn't listed here, check with your Human Resources Department to see if you have a Matching Gifts Program. If you do, you will be given a form to complete.
